Turn in your lease without the paint bill
Leasing companies charge for chips, scratches and dents when you hand the car back, and a single deep scratch can run $200–$400. Protect the paint from day one, or wrap the car your way and peel it off before turn-in.
Step 1 of 1
Paint protection: what do you drive?
- Clear PPF takes the chips instead of your paint
- Removable wraps: your color now, factory paint at turn-in
- Paint inspected and photographed before we start
What turn-in damage costs
The bill comes after you hand back the keys
An inspector checks the car against the leasing company's wear guide, prices each item from their own repair schedule, and the bill can arrive after the car is gone.
| At turn-in | Typical charge | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A deep scratch through the paint | $200–$400 each | Leasing companies flag scratches bigger than a credit card that go through the paint. |
| A dent bigger than a credit card | about $400 | One example: $400 billed at turn-in for a dent a body shop fixed for about $150. |
| Poor repairs, or changes that weren’t there at the start | Billed at turn-in | Leases count changes not on the car at the start as excess wear, so a wrap has to come off first. |

Four ways to use it
Spend less on the car, more on how it looks
Protect the paint you’ll hand back
Clear paint protection film on the bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors takes the rock chips and scuffs that show up on a turn-in inspection. Full front from $1,295.
Book full-front PPF →Make it yours for the lease
Wrap a leased car in the color you actually want, protect the factory paint underneath, and take the wrap off before you return it. Full color change from $3,295.
Book a color change →A lower-cost car with a premium look
Lease or buy the trim you need, not the one with the paint you want. A color change, chrome delete and ceramic tint give it the look for less than the jump to a higher trim often costs.

- Book soon after you pick up the car, while the paint is perfect.

The CAW Promise
You book with CLT Auto Wraps, so we stand behind the work, not just the film.
The price you book is the price you pay
Your package price is fixed. If we find something extra when we see the car, like old tint to remove, we tell you the price and you decide before any work starts.
Happy before you pay the balance
We walk around the car with you when it’s done. If anything isn’t right, we fix it before you pay the rest.
12-month workmanship guarantee
If an install problem shows up within 12 months (bubbles that don’t clear, lifting edges, peeling, or dirt trapped under the film), we fix it free.
Film maker’s warranty on top
Premium films carry their maker’s own warranty against fading, cracking and peeling, under the maker’s terms. We help you with any claim.
Deposit refundable until you’re scheduled
Change your mind before your appointment is set and you get your deposit back. If we can’t schedule you within 7 days, it’s refunded too.
Not covered: accidents, scratches and chips from use, pressure washing too close, paint that was already damaged or repainted, and film we didn’t install. Full guarantee
Leasing questions
Can I wrap a leased car?
Usually, yes. Most leases don’t say yes or no to wraps; they require the car to come back in its original condition. A professionally installed, removable wrap that comes off before turn-in is the common approach. Check your own lease agreement first.
Do I have to take the wrap off before I return the car?
Yes. Plan to remove it before your turn-in inspection. If the leasing company has to remove it, they will likely bill you for it. Book removal with us about two weeks before your return date.
Does PPF have to come off too?
Clear PPF is hard to see, but it is still something that wasn’t on the car at the start. Ask your leasing company, or have us remove it before turn-in.
Can removing a wrap damage the paint?
On healthy factory paint, quality film removed by a pro comes off cleanly. Repainted panels, old damage or very old film can lift paint. We inspect and photograph your paint before we install anything, so its condition is on record.
Is protection cheaper than paying the charges?
It depends on how you drive and how long the lease is. A few deep scratches or chips can add up fast at turn-in, and protection also keeps the car looking new while you drive it. We’ll help you weigh it honestly.
What does removal cost?
It depends on the car and the film, so we price it to your vehicle. Removal of a wrap we installed is usually quicker and simpler.
